Environmental Policy Statement
Objective :
Our company is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment and accepts responsibility for the harmful effects its operations may have on the local environment and is committed to reducing them.
An environmental policy is a short statement which lays out our company’s attitude towards the environment and recognises that our business impacts upon the environment both through local operations, and, more broadly, in terms of raw materials, usage, energy usage and discharges.

All staff, installers, sub-contractors and suppliers.

Our company is committed to reducing environmental impact.
All staff, installers and suppliers should be responsible for their own actions with regards to their environmental performance and recognise this in their daily activities.
This document will be communicated to all staff, installers and suppliers both in writing, and through regular one to one meetings and training courses. It is the responsibility of the management to effectively deploy this policy and for all employees, contractors and suppliers to adhere to the policy and procedures stated in the Environmental Management System.
This document sets out how our company addresses the impact of the way it operates and conducts its business with regard to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment and by publishing and committing to this document our firm aims to align its business values to the needs of our staff, suppliers and the wider community.
Our company’s activities relate to the management of a network of installers who carry out the installation of energy efficiency measures in the domestic sector.
Natural resources are limited and if we continue to consume the world’s natural resources at the current rate then there could be disastrous consequences and our firm is committed to taking action.
The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:
Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and keep and regularly update a register of environmental legislation.
Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible. Adopt a reduce, reuse and recycle concept & Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.
Actively lead by example with senior management changing to electric vehicles to lower the impact on the environment.
Implement a training programme for its staff and suppliers to raise awareness of environmental issues, communicate the message, and enlist their support in improving the firm’s performance including understanding the role of carbon and what carbon footprint means.
Assess the competence of sub-contractors with respect to environmental matters.
·Have a formal environmental incident/near miss reporting system.
·Minimise CO2 emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power requirement.
Produce a Corporate Social Responsibility Procedure and ensure staff and suppliers are aware of their responsibility through training and culture.
Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
Carry out formal environmental risk assessments of the products/services that our firm supplies with regards to sustainable development.
