Definitions

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. This Company has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.

Responsibility and Compliance

The Managing Director, David Whyte, holds ultimate accountability for the implementation of this policy and for compliance within the organisation. Day-to-day responsibility for preventing slavery and trafficking in our operations and supply chains lies with all levels of management within the Company.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking The Company will undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly review its existing suppliers. The Company's due diligence process includes building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations of business partners and evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier. This due diligence includes: - Conducting supplier audits or assessments through third-party auditor, which have a greater degree of independence and objectivity. - Using labour monitoring and payroll systems; and - Invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an action plan or seriously violate our supplier code of conduct, including the termination of the business relationship.
