Based in Alderley Edge and covering the North West and beyond, we are Domestic Energy Retrofit Specialists.

In a nutshell, we undertake retrofit surveys and install any Energy Efficiency Measures that are required to make a property as energy efficient as possible and achieve the highest EPC rating.

We are on a mission to end fuel poverty and ensure we hit Net Zero by 2050, one dwelling at a time.

We are also on a mission to help landlords understand what is available to them. There has been various schemes over the years, mainly for single measures being installed at a property such as a new boiler, or just loft insulation, but how many of these did you undertake?

How many of those properties could have been made more efficient by installing additional measures at the same time? The latest version of funding is to ensure your properties are looked at as “individual projects”.

As retrofit assessors and installers we need to understand what each property requires to ensure they are as energy efficient as possible, for as long as possible.

When we know this information, let’s get ALL those measures installed.

For example:

You have a property which is currently E rated on the EPC. Our retrofit survey shows that if we topped up the loft insulation, installed internal wall insulation (or external wall insulation) and changed the heating system to a more efficient one, the property would then be a B on the EPC, then this is what we will do.

Each property is unique, so each property will need a different solution and it’s our job to ensure we look at each property as a “whole house approach”.

Previous schemes and funding have not done this, so here we are again on the merry go round of seeing people on Tik Tok shouting at us about free boilers, getting hammered by phone calls at home and spam letters being pushed through your letterbox.
We have been overexposed and are now unsure of what’s real and what’s not real.

Is this too good to be true?

No, it isn’t.

If you are a private landlord and your properties are E rated on the EPC and your tenants are on certain benefits or you have a NHS referral, you are entitled to these energy efficiency upgrades FREE OF CHARGE, remember it’s based on the tenant’s eligibility.

Homeowners may also be eligible, again based on the EPC, this time it is a D or below, and are on certain benefits or you have a NHS referral, FREE OF CHARGE.

Landlords, there is an opportunity here to raise the value of your investments by up to 16% (Rightmove Oct 23) ensure your tenants are spending less of their income on energy costs, and of course help save the planet by reducing the amount of carbon used, FREE OF CHARGE.
